How big is a snake territory?
Snake is also called the serpent, and they have flexible bodies like a rope. Although they feel afraid of humans, some human love to keep them as a pet in their homes, snakes are looks like a rope, but due to flexibility, they can turn their body very quickly. You may see them in the shape of a folded string. Snakes have more than 3,400 species with different shapes, colors, and sizes. Some of the snakes are dangerous even if they bite a human; he may die in the next few minutes like a black cobra. While the other snake that does not carry poison or less poison, they are also used to eat.
There is a variety of snakes, but their color depends on where they live. If you want to identify poisons and non-poisons snakes, you can identify them with their color. Most of the poison snake has a bright color, while the snakes with less or no poison have a dull color.
What do they eat?
Snake are carnivores; they like to eat meat. They hunt for small insects and animals and eat them once as a whole. They have weak metabolism; this is the reason after eating anything, they take a full day to digest that animal. Once the animal is digesting, then they search for other prey. They mostly like to eat frogs, rodents, birds, and small animals. You may not see them on a daily basis because they do not hunt on a regular basis due to their weak metabolism. There are some species of snake that can live for several days without eating any food like a cobra.
Habitat
They are the only creature you will find in every part of the world except Antarctica. But they vary in size and color due to climate changes and changes in food. They are cold-blooded, so they do not like to live in cold areas. You may found them in jungles, forests, water, and underground and sometimes within your home if you have a hole with the house. Some of the snakes have the ability to breathe through their skin, and this ability helps them to live within the water for a long period of time. The snake that prefers to live in water they often prey on small fishes and other water living animals.
Do the snake mark territory?
Yes, the snake marks territory by producing a specific scent. But there is no range of a fixed territory. You may find another snake within the range of another snake. They can also use their feces (waste and urine) to mark the territory. They may not prefer to travel so far in search of food because they can live for many days without food. They often prefer to get in the houses of other animals like a rat; birds nest and like to eat their younger child and eggs too. You may also find them within your home under the ground.
